Virtual Meeting E-Mail
Good evening, all. As you might have heard, in accordance to the WHO and CDC’s recommendations, the BSA has cancelled all in-person meetings, campouts and gatherings for the next couple weeks. So, in order to keep our troop running , we are going to have virtual meetings, run at the same time as our regular meetings: Monday, 7:00-8:00 PM. This is a new concept for everyone involved, so it’s good to have patience while we all try to figure out how this is going to work.
To get ourselves familiar with the software and how things are going to be run in virtual meetings, we will be hosting a preliminary “meeting” on Sunday evening (7:00 PM). At that time everyone will be able to figure out how to cross between chat rooms, turn on and off their microphones and cameras, and just get a good hold on how meetings will be run on Monday. We encourage everyone to attend the session on Sunday, because it would mean a lot less confusion when the real meeting takes place.
Mr. Blincow, Bailey or Mrs. Rafter will send a link in the next couple of days which will take all of you to the e-meeting, by which time we will have decided which platform we will be using and which app you should download onto your devices.
